Myanmar authorities have recently intensified their crackdown on the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas, notorious for rampant telecommunications fraud and online gambling activities. A joint task force composed of security forces, administrative bodies, and local authorities is systematically eliminating illegally constructed facilities through raids and forced demolitions.

Special Operations and Phase Achievements
How intense is this operation? According to statistics as of November 29, in just the third district of KK Park, 122 out of 425 illegal buildings have been demolished, with a total of 270 buildings demolished across KK Park. In the Shwe Kokko area, where actions started earlier, authorities have identified 135 illegal buildings since November 18 and sealed 37 of them, including many multi-story buildings, to prevent their continued use for criminal activities.

Massive Seizure of Equipment and Personnel Handling
In addition to buildings, law enforcement has also seized a large amount of electronic equipment used for illegal activities, including 3,310 computers and 21,870 mobile phones, which are currently being destroyed. Regarding personnel, the operation has so far captured 2,042 illegally entered foreigners. From January 30 to November 29 this year, Myanmar has detained a total of 12,915 foreign nationals, 10,029 of whom have been deported back to their home countries through Thailand. Currently, the detained individuals are temporarily housed in designated facilities in Shwe Kokko, waiting for information verification and subsequent repatriation.

Government Determination and Cross-Border Cooperation
The Myanmar government has clearly stated its determination to combat telecommunications fraud and online gambling. This cleanup is not only a joint action by multiple domestic departments but also involves coordination with neighboring countries, aimed at eradicating these cross-border illegal activities at their roots. Such international cooperation and law enforcement dynamics are crucial for understanding regional gambling and fraud crime governance, and related trends and analyses can also be obtained from professional platforms like PASA's official website.
