Musselburgh Racecourse announced that Virgin Bet will once again be the title sponsor for its two flagship events in 2025: the New Year's Day Race Meeting and the Easter Saturday Race Meeting.
The New Year's Day racing usually attracts over 6,000 fans, featuring hurdle racing events including the Auld Reekie Handicap Chase with a prize of £40,000 ($52,000) and the Hogmaneigh Hurdle with a prize of £30,000. The total prize money for the day exceeds £100,000.
Virgin Bet will also take center stage on April 19 at the Easter Saturday Race Meeting, showcasing other prestigious events such as the £100,000 Queen's Cup and Scotland's fastest race, the Scottish Sprint Cup.
Worth noting: These events are part of Musselburgh's "Sensational Six" race days, which are the most exciting racing days of the year at Musselburgh Racecourse.
Regarding this extended partnership, Virgin Bet Marketing Director Dominic Vye said: "We are delighted to continue our long-term partnership with Musselburgh Racecourse and to be the main sponsor for both the Easter Saturday and New Year's Day race meetings.
"Supporting these key events in the Scottish racing calendar aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing an unmatched sports betting experience. We are thrilled to contribute to the excitement and tradition brought by the Easter Saturday and New Year's Day race meetings."
Musselburgh Racecourse's Commercial and Operations Director, Sarah Montgomery, added: "We are pleased to continue our long-term partnership with Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet at Musselburgh Racecourse, and we look forward to another spectacular Virgin Bet Easter Saturday Race Meeting, as well as the New Year's Day Race Meeting in collaboration with Virgin Bet, which are highlights of our 'Sensational 6' race days.
"We are also delighted that Virgin Bet's personal safety partner, WalkSafe, will be our sponsorship partner. The experience and safety of all our racegoers is paramount, so we are pleased to see this as part of Virgin Bet's 'A Good Bet' program, which aims to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone."
