Recently, the police in Chonburi Province arrested 9 foreigners for illegal gambling in a house in Village No. 10, Nong Bua Town, Ban Lamung District. These individuals hailed from South Korea, the USA, Russia, the UK, and other countries. The police also seized gambling tables, chips, cash, and other items, which will be dealt with according to the law.
Local police were alerted by residents of Nong Bua Town about the gathering of foreigners for gambling. Upon investigation and surveillance around the targeted house, the police stormed in as soon as someone opened the door, controlling the situation immediately. Inside, they found 9 foreigners from Europe and Asia sitting around playing cards, with one Thai person dealing the cards and another Thai woman preparing food. The group was startled and attempted to flee upon the police's arrival but were quickly subdued by the officers already in position.
The police confiscated gambling tables, chips, 37 decks of playing cards, and some cash at the scene. The 9 detained foreigners included 3 from South Korea, 2 from the USA, 2 from Australia, 1 from Russia, and 1 from the UK, along with the Thai card dealer. They will be processed according to the law.
