RMG and ARC Secure Global Distribution Rights for Dubai Horse Racing, UAE Market Continues to Evolve

The Dubai Racing Club recently reached a significant three-year agreement with the UK's Racing Media Group (RMG) and Arena Racing Company (ARC). According to the agreement, RMG and ARC will obtain global distribution rights for live footage and data from the UAE's top racecourse, Meydan Racecourse, covering the entire three seasons from 2025-26 to 2027-28.

Powerful Alliance, Expanding Global Reach
RMG has had more than ten years of television production cooperation with the Dubai Racing Club, and this time it will distribute content through GBI Racing, a joint international platform with its long-term partner ARC. This network is impressive, reaching approximately 10,000 venues worldwide and over 100 digital customers, meaning more global horse racing fans will easily enjoy Dubai's top events. Meydan Racecourse, with a main grandstand that can accommodate over 80,000 people, is one of the largest racecourses in the world and hosts the Dubai Racing Carnival, including the finale, the "Dubai World Cup," each year.

Commercial Potential and Market Symbolism
Nick Mills, CEO of RMG, is confident about this cooperation. He emphasized that the combination of RMG and ARC is one of the largest and most mature horse racing content distributors globally, with extensive coverage that will bring unparalleled audience reach and engagement, thereby generating the highest potential revenue. Brendan Parnell, Managing Director of Media and International Business at ARC, also pointed out that this tripartite agreement would significantly expand the global brand influence of the Dubai Racing Club. The 30th Dubai World Cup to be held next March, with a total prize money of $30.5 million, will undoubtedly be the first major content under the new distribution agreement.

Quiet Changes in the UAE Gambling Ecosystem
This media agreement is also a reflection of the continuous evolution of the UAE gambling market. Just last week, the first fully compliant licensed iGaming website "Play 971" began limited area trial operations locally, breaking the previous situation where only the "UAE Lottery" was the single legal product. At the same time, there have been personnel changes at the gambling regulatory authority GCGRA, with founding CEO Kevin Mullally stepping down recently. These dynamics, from media content opening to online market breakthroughs, all indicate that the market activity in the region is increasing.
