IGT has signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with Corporación Caliente, planning to deploy IGT PlaySports technology at over 140 retail sports betting locations in Mexico and nine Latin American countries. Initially, the agreement will support 42 Caliente venues in Mexico, and will gradually expand to more than 100 locations in Antigua, Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
This collaboration incorporates IGT's transaction advisory services, retail hardware and software solutions, and operational support, making it one of the largest retail sports betting partnerships in Latin America to date. Joe Bertolone, Senior Vice President of IGT Sports Betting, stated that the expansion of the PlaySports platform will further enhance their technological coverage and service capabilities in the region.
Eduardo Hernández Triana, CEO of Caliente, praised IGT's extensive global experience and the versatility of the PlaySports platform, considering IGT as the ideal partner to enhance their retail betting services.
It is noteworthy that in July 2025, IGT completed a merger with Everi valued at $6.3 billion, now operating as a merged entity under the leadership of the upcoming CEO Hector Fernandez, continuing to accelerate the expansion in both physical and digital channels. This partnership not only strengthens Caliente's retail business but also helps IGT achieve greater business coverage in the Latin American market.
