SCCG Management recently announced a collaboration with consulting firm Crowe Uruguay to launch an educational training program aimed at South American regulators and industry professionals. The program will be based on the minimum internal control standards of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, focusing on policy making, regulatory frameworks, compliance agreements, and enforcement tools. The courses will be taught in Spanish and English to accommodate a diverse group of participants.
The bilingual training aims to help Uruguayan regulatory bodies effectively monitor online gambling activities, enhancing their regulatory capabilities and compliance levels. SCCG will also leverage its strategic partnership with I3 Integrity to support the compliance aspect of the courses, ensuring the training content is scientifically rigorous.
SCCG founder and CEO Stephen Crystal stated, "This collaboration reflects our mission to share mature regulatory experiences, committed to building a bridge between international standards and local needs, and promoting a more transparent and efficient global gambling ecosystem."
Crowe Uruguay is part of the Crowe consulting group, which covers 130 countries globally. This collaboration continues SCCG's experience in the African market, where it helped organize the iGC Summit in Morocco in 2025, bringing together African gambling regulatory professionals.
It is noteworthy that Uruguay has not yet regulated online gambling, and there is a general consensus in the political sphere that there is a lack of sufficient understanding and education about gambling issues locally. This training program may inject new momentum into local gambling regulation.
