Konami Gaming has officially obtained a "Gaming Related Supplier License" from the **General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA)** in the United Arab Emirates, which will allow the company to provide casino games and management system services locally, marking an important step in its further expansion into the Middle Eastern gaming market.
With this license, Konami will be able to supply its renowned RNG slot machines and Synkros Casino Management System to upcoming gaming facilities in the UAE, such as the planned Wynn Resort Casino Project set to open in 2027. The Synkros system is currently adopted by several internationally renowned casino resorts, including the Star and Ocean Casino Resort in Asia.
The entry of Konami comes at a time when the UAE is accelerating the construction of its gaming regulatory system. Just this week, several suppliers have obtained local licenses, including Light & Wonder, with giants like IGT, Aristocrat, and Novomatic already approved earlier. The UAE is actively building a compliant and diverse gaming market.
Konami Gaming's President and CEO Tom Jingoli stated, "Compliance has always been at the core of our global expansion strategy. As the UAE moves towards a regulated gaming market, we are committed to serving this emerging region with our consistent standards of integrity, innovation, and excellence."
Currently, Konami's products serve 431 gaming jurisdictions globally, covering markets in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Recently, the company launched real money online slot machines in Portugal and Paraguay, and introduced its games at PlayCity Casino in Mexico.
As the UAE becomes the first country in the Middle East to establish a formal gaming regulatory authority, Konami's entry not only signals that more global suppliers will follow, but also brings significant technological and operational support to the regional gaming industry.
