The esports betting platform Thunderpick announced that its flagship event, the Thunderpick World Championship (TWC), will make a strong return in 2025 with a total prize pool of $1 million (approximately £764,000), and promised that the 2026 event will also be held as scheduled, aiming to make TWC an annual blockbuster event in the CS:GO esports field.
Kelly Sanders, the strategic head of Thunderpick, stated: "TWC is entering its third year, and our goal has always been consistent: to create a top-tier event experience for players and fans worldwide. The planning for the 2025 event has already started, and preparations for 2026 are also underway. We will continue to invest and support the development of the CS2 esports ecosystem."
The 2025 Thunderpick World Championship will hold qualifiers in North America, South America, and Europe, where top teams will compete for advancement. The finals will be held offline in Malta. The offline finals will take place from October 15 to 19, 2025, with a prize pool of $850,000.
Regarding the event schedule, TWC is hosted by esports media Hotspawn, covering the entire season from April to October 2025, with all matches being streamed live on Thunderpick's official Twitch channel. The detailed schedule is as follows:
