The Peru Gaming Show (PGS) organizing committee recently announced a major upgrade for the 22nd edition of the event—it will set up an "Investment Center" for the first time at the Lima Jockey Exhibition Center from June 18 to 19, 2025. This move marks a new phase of capitalization in the Latin American gaming industry.
As the most influential industry event in Latin America, this edition is expected to attract over 300 international companies and startups to explore the fully regulated Peruvian market, which has an annual growth rate of 12%.
Investment Center: An Engine for Industrial Upgrading
This innovative section is endowed with a triple mission:
Capital Connection: Creating exclusive channels for local operators and international investment funds
Technology Transformation: Promoting the commercial implementation of 15 innovative technologies including AI risk control and VR casinos
Ecosystem Construction: Perfecting industrial policies through tripartite dialogues among government, businesses, and academia
Data from the Peruvian Gambling Regulatory Authority (MINCETUR) shows that in 2024, the tax contributions from licensed operators in the country exceeded 800 million soles, and the new Investment Center is expected to increase this figure by 30%. "We aim to showcase not just slot machines, but also disruptive technologies like blockchain payment solutions," emphasized Carlos Mendoza, the director of the show.
Global Platform Effects
Compared to previous editions, PGS 2025 presents three major breakthroughs:
Unprecedented International Participation: Confirmed participation of 12 international organizations including the Gaming Manufacturers Association (GMA) of the USA
Integration of Industry, Education, and Research: The Peruvian University of Engineering and Technology will launch the "Metaverse Gambling White Paper"
Focus on Emerging Markets: Special investment roadshows for Brazil and Colombia
Strategic Value Redefined
As Peru gradually opens up applications for Integrated Resort (IR) licenses, this Andean nation is becoming a new magnet for the Latin American gambling industry. During the event, the "2025-2030 Peruvian Digital Gaming Industry Blueprint" will be released, with the legalization of cryptocurrency payments being the most anticipated aspect.
"This is not just a simple industry gathering," commented Maria Fernandez, an international gambling consultant, "When global capital discusses restructuring the KYC process with blockchain in Lima, what you hear is the heartbeat of the industry for the next decade." The early bird registration for the event has increased by 45% year-on-year, indirectly confirming the appeal of this "Gambling Davos under the Andes."
