At the recently concluded BiS SiGMA South America Summit in São Paulo, the gambling technology provider SOFTSWISS showcased its Latin American growth strategy with a distinctive combination of elements. From a Porsche race car converted into a simulator in the exhibition hall to an opening conversation hosted by former F1 driver and current non-executive director for Latin America, Rubens Barrichello, and a dedicated forum on sports betting integrity and speed, the tech company sent a clear message: in Brazil's rapidly maturing regulated market, technology and regulations, speed and responsibility need to resonate at the same frequency. Barrichello made an interesting remark on-site—both the racing and gambling technology circles are familiar to him, and both require discipline, precision, and teamwork to go the distance.

From the Racetrack to the Booth: Barrichello's Crossover Appearance

Barrichello's appearance was quite high-profile. He drove a Porsche race car directly into the exhibition hall, which was then transformed into a racing simulator for booth visitors to experience, seamlessly integrating the immersive feel of racing sports with brand presentation. In his opening speech at the summit, Barrichello steered the conversation towards a broader industry perspective. He noted that the Brazilian gambling market has moved beyond its initial wild growth phase, and the next phase's core drivers will be technological iteration, clear regulation, and social responsibility. He emphasized that this process cannot proceed without the mutual commitment of the government and tech companies.

SOFTSWISS's Business Development Manager for Latin America, Carla Duarte, shared an observation after the event: Many discussions in the industry a year ago were still at the conceptual level, but now the Brazilian market has reached a point where concrete plans are necessary. She believes the most valuable part of this summit was the willingness of all parties to lay their cards on the table—regulators, operators, and technology providers sitting down to discuss what works in practice, a candid dialogue that can truly drive the industry forward.

Special Forum Focuses on the World Cup Window and Sports Betting Strategies

During the main stage sessions, SOFTSWISS organized a segment titled "Sports Betting Strategies, Integrity, and Speed." As the 2026 World Cup approaches, regulatory representatives, legal experts, and industry practitioners engaged in intensive discussions about the future direction of the Latin American gambling market. One fireside chat took place between Prínio Lemos Jorge, the president of the Brazilian National Gambling and Lottery Association, and Duarte, focusing on the boundaries of responsibility behind Brazil's market-scale operations, seeking a balance between compliance frameworks and commercial expansion.

During the summit, SOFTSWISS also launched a second season limited capsule collection co-branded with Barrichello and the racing brand Sparco. The collection, designed by Brazilian sportswear designer Denis Romanelli, is driven by "ambition" as its design core, reflecting the common pursuit of performance and reliability in both the racing and technology fields.

Technical Awards and Go-Karting Carnival as a Dual Finale

In addition to brand exposure and intellectual clashes, SOFTSWISS also made its mark at the awards level. Its Sportsbook Network Jackpot product was named Best Innovation in Sports Betting Features, with the rationale being the successful transplantation of player engagement mechanisms proven in casino settings to the sports betting side. This product logic is fundamentally about enhancing user stickiness through cross-category gameplay integration.

The summit's closing event was designed as a "SOFTSWISS Racing Carnival" go-kart race, held at the Granjaviana Karting Track. Partners and Barrichello participated in exhibition races and speed competitions, interspersed with samba performances and interactive sessions, wrapping business networking in a relaxed racing atmosphere. The PASA official website noted that SOFTSWISS's actions this round were differentiated by not being confined to traditional booth negotiations but instead using racing IP and immersive experiences to build a more memorable brand narrative.
