A bloody robbery recently occurred in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, Philippines, where a couple dealing in used cars were shot during a vehicle purchase. The husband died on the spot, while the wife was seriously injured.

The police have identified a suspect and are actively pursuing him.

According to preliminary investigations by the police, on the day of the incident, the couple met with a man claiming to be an intermediary to buy a van.

Unexpectedly, the intermediary led them to a sugarcane field and suddenly pulled out a gun and attacked.

The 46-year-old husband was shot multiple times in the head, neck, and body and died instantly; the wife was shot in the shoulder and back and was urgently taken to the hospital for treatment, where her condition is now stable.

The case is suspected to have been triggered by robbery. After the attack, the suspect stole six mobile phones and a handbag containing about 500,000 pesos in cash from the couple. The police later recovered two mobile phones in a nearby river, but the stolen cash is still missing.

The local police have preliminarily identified a suspect and are expanding the search area to track other possible suspects. The case is still under further investigation, and the victim's family has not yet made a public statement.

This vicious case has attracted widespread attention from local residents, and the police urge the public to be vigilant and avoid high-value cash transactions with strangers, especially in remote areas.
