Jiuding Group's recent troubles may feel familiar to everyone.

After all, the Suncity incident involving Alvin Chau is still fresh in our minds from two years ago.

The Arrest of Alvin Chau:

In 2020, more than 1000 kilometers away from Macau in Wenzhou, police dismantled a major online gambling case led by Zhang Ningning, which directly pointed to the Suncity Group.

The police quickly initiated an investigation, but to avoid alerting the suspects, they did not immediately announce the case.

However, as the saying goes, "when the lips are gone, the teeth will be cold," insiders at Suncity in Macau first sensed the danger and vaguely revealed it to the local media.

To stabilize the public, Alvin Chau appeared in a video to clarify the situation.

In the video, Alvin Chau firmly stated: "Suncity is a law-abiding company in Macau. We have never stationed any colleagues in the mainland to promote or engage in any gambling business, nor have we ever been involved in any underground money transfer operations."

However, Alvin Chau's evasive eyes, his feigned calm demeanor, and his revealing body tremors betrayed him.

Despite this, the rumors stopped after Alvin Chau's clarification.

Subsequently, public opinion calmed down, and there were no further actions in Wenzhou.

Alvin Chau thought he had escaped the ordeal, but unbeknownst to him, a large net was quietly cast towards Zhou Zhuohua and the online gambling platform he controlled.

On November 26, 2021, after gathering sufficient evidence, Wenzhou police issued a notice: the transnational gambling crime group, led by suspects Zhou Zhuohua (Alvin Chau) and Zhang Ningning, was suspected of operating casinos in China, with serious circumstances. Recently, the Wenzhou People's Procuratorate legally approved the arrest of suspect Zhou Zhuohua (Alvin Chau).

People were surprised to find that Alvin Chau, who had once claimed to operate legally, had developed 199 shareholder-level agents and over 12,000 gambling agents in the mainland, attracting 80,000 domestic gambling members.

Alvin Chau's painstakingly managed online gambling platform saw trillions of funds flowing annually, with billions transferred overseas through underground banks.

After urging Alvin Chau to surrender, Macau police quickly took action and arrested Alvin Chau and 11 others in the early hours of November 27.

Unveiling Alvin Chau's Online Gambling Model:

Alvin Chau introduced advanced network technology into his gambling business, allowing global customers to gamble conveniently from their homes via mobile phones and computers.

Members can easily download the Suncity gambling APP and access the gambling website through the website address provided in the international messages.

Once customers transfer 100,000 to their domestic bank accounts, they can become members.

Through the APP, members can see real-time scenes of casinos in the Philippines or Cambodia, and based on the dealer's actions, they can choose to place bets through "telephone betting" or "good E-betting."

"Telephone betting" involves members giving instructions over the phone, allowing on-site personnel to place bets on their behalf in real-time.

"Good E-betting" allows members to place bets directly through the mobile APP.

Over four years of operation, Suncity's online gambling platform has developed hundreds of thousands of members, with an average monthly betting amount reaching a staggering hundred billion, and nearly a trillion in annual turnover.

To facilitate domestic participants in gambling, Alvin Chau created a one-stop service, establishing an asset management company in China to help gamblers exchange assets for chips, pursue gambling debts, and use underground banks for fund transfers.

The platform recruited over a thousand telephone betting staff to provide 24-hour one-on-one services for gamblers; the App supports Mandarin, Cantonese, Northeastern dialects, and more.

In terms of funds, Zhou Zhuohua established an asset management company in China to provide services such as chip exchange, gambling debt collection, and cross-border fund settlement for gamblers, also using illegal channels like underground banks for financial settlements.

For clients without overseas accounts, the platform can directly transfer payouts to the domestic bank accounts provided by the clients, settling in RMB.

Ultimately, Alvin Chau was convicted of aggravated money laundering and faced an 18-year prison sentence.

Earlier this year, there were also rumors that Jiuding Group was under investigation.

At that time, many people were also queuing up to withdraw money, but eventually, the group issued a statement that there were criminals using the group's name for fraudulent financing.

"Recently, we have learned that criminals are using the 'Jiuding' name to carry out financing fraud. We are shocked and strongly condemn this. Jiuding Group hereby solemnly declares:

Jiuding Group has not carried out any financing projects.

Any financing projects, investment opportunities, or other related financial activities launched in the name of Jiuding are unrelated to Jiuding Group.
