COB EXPO 2024, in partnership with the Institute of Development, Tourism, Culture, Sports, and Environment (IDT-CEMA), will promote the 1st Sports Tourism Forum which, in addition to the presence of tourism trade leaders and confederation directors, will feature the participation of Olympic medalists from Paris who will be honored at the event. The sports betting and gaming sector will have special panels to address the synergy of the segments.
The purpose of the Sports Tourism Forum is to bring together leaders from various sectors to "create synergies and develop opportunities to strengthen destinations, generate income, and create new Olympic and life champions,” explains Bruno Omori, president of IDT-CEMA and coordinator of the event.
Two strategic debate panels will be presented.
The potential of Sports Tourism in Brazil will bring innovative proposals for tourist destinations and the Brazilian hotel market. It will feature Leandro Correa, president of APRECESP, who will talk about the “Importance of Sports and Sports Events in Tourist Resorts”.
Another prominent topic will be the relevance of the “Synergy between sports and tourism”, in the speech of Mauzler Paulinetti, executive secretary of ASEMESP and advisor to the State Sports Council of São Paulo.
The gaming and sports betting sector will also present proposals on partnerships and sponsorships that bets could offer for the official events of sports confederations. The topic will be presented by Guilherme Sadi, a lawyer specialized in this segment.
Equally important will be the presentations by José Roberto Sevier, president of Proma Fairs, on the “Importance of professional organization in fairs and exhibitions during sports events”, and by Ronald Lopes, sports director who will present the successful case of the “Together for Sports Project to strengthen Tourist Destinations”.
The synergy between gaming and tourism will also be addressed in the speech of the businessman João Marcelo Dornellas, president of the São Paulo Poker Federation and partner of the H2 group, one of the main players in the Brazilian poker market, who will present the theme: “Poker Creating Tourist Flows to Brazilian Tourist Destinations”.
Another highlighted presentation will be that of João Motta, CEO of Apostou.com, a company that holds the concession of the State Lottery of Paraná. He will lead the panel “New Revenues and Entertainment for the Concession of the State Lottery of Paraná”.
