BetBlocker has announced the establishment of BetBlocker US, a specialized branch of the UK charity, offering free self-exclusion tools to reduce gambling harm.
The new division has been officially registered as a 501(c) non-profit organization in Delaware, marking a step forward in BetBlocker's efforts to expand its services in North America.
The charity operates in the UK and Europe, providing gambling blocking software that allows users to anonymously restrict access to gambling sites.
With the expansion in the US, BetBlocker aims to make its self-exclusion tools more widely available to US residents, especially as gambling regulation continues to evolve in multiple states.
As part of the expansion, BetBlocker has confirmed that its software will support English, Spanish, and the upcoming Chinese—covering the three most widely used languages in the US.
It is worth noting that the platform already offers tools in 17 other languages.
The launch of BetBlocker US coincides with a partnership with the Colorado State Lottery, which has integrated BetBlocker into its responsible gambling resources.
BetBlocker founder and trustee Duncan Garvie said: "By establishing a US branch of the charity, we hope to raise the profile of the service in North America and provide support to tens of thousands of people over the next few years. Free support is crucial, and I believe that in the coming years, we will help hundreds of thousands of people across the North American continent who otherwise struggle to manage their gambling."
In February 2025, BetBlocker launched an Italian version of its software, while previous initiatives have included support for Bemba, Nyanja, and Tonga languages in Zambia.
BetBlocker has also expanded its operations in Europe, launching a Maltese version of the tool during the 2024 European Safe Gambling period in collaboration with EveryMatrix.
