In January 2026, the total online casino revenue in the seven states of the United States where online gambling is legal—Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, West Virginia, Delaware, and Rhode Island—reached $921 million, a significant increase from $762.2 million in January 2025. Simply put, the online casinos had a great start to the year.

Michigan: Approaching the $300 million mark

Michigan's online casino revenue in January was $298.3 million, higher than the same period last year's $248.2 million. Although it did not continue the record of $315.8 million set in December, it still maintained a high level.

New Jersey: A new historical high for January

New Jersey's online gambling revenue in January was $258.9 million, setting a record for any January since the launch of iGaming in November 2013, and the third highest monthly revenue in history.

Pennsylvania: Year-over-year increase of 18.6%

Pennsylvania's January revenue was $249.3 million, higher than January 2025's $210.1 million. Similar to New York, it was lower than the record $259.7 million set in December.

Connecticut: Approaching historical peak

Connecticut's January revenue jumped to $54.9 million, higher than last year's $46 million, just a step away from the record $55.6 million set in October.

West Virginia: Breaking records again

West Virginia's January revenue was $41.7 million, breaking the record of $37.8 million set last year, becoming the highest monthly revenue in the state's history.

Delaware: Significant increase in the first year of BetRivers operation

Delaware's only online casino operated by BetRivers had a January revenue of $12.2 million, far higher than the $7.9 million in January 2025 after BetRivers took over from 888.

Rhode Island: Steady growth under Bally's monopoly

Rhode Island's iGaming business monopolized by Bally's had a January revenue of $5.7 million, higher than last year's $3.7 million. Want to know the latest iGaming trends in the US states? PASA official website keeps track.
