New Jersey's gambling revenue increased by 22.3% in October, with online operations reaching a new high of $260 million.

Last month, the gambling industry in New Jersey performed quite well overall, with total revenue achieving significant growth, especially in the online gambling sector, which set a new historical record. Data shows that total revenue in October exceeded $600 million, a more than 20% increase from the same period last year, with all market segments showing positive trends.

Overall Revenue Growth Overview

According to the report from the gambling enforcement department, the total gambling revenue in New Jersey for October reached $611.1 million, an increase of 22.3% compared to October 2024, and 8.4% higher than September this year. Online gambling became the main source of income, easily surpassing physical casinos and sports betting, but the year-over-year growth rate of sports betting was the highest, which is truly impressive.

Online Gambling Sets New Record

Online gambling revenue reached $260.3 million in October, up 21.8% from the same period last year, breaking the $250 million mark for the first time. Specifically, online slots and table games contributed $257.7 million, up 22%, while peer-to-peer network poker revenue also rose 11.1% to $2.6 million. In terms of operators, FanDuel and Golden Nugget led with $60.9 million, followed closely by DraftKings and Resorts World at $48.5 million.

Significant Growth in Sports Betting

Sports betting revenue increased by 49.8% year-over-year, reaching $116.1 million, with the online portion accounting for $110.7 million, up 45.9%, and the retail portion soaring 242.5% to $5.4 million. The total customer betting amount was $1.24 billion, up 10.7%, with FanDuel and Meadowlands leading online sports betting revenue at $39.9 million.

Steady Rise in Physical Casinos

Physical casino revenue was $234.7 million, up 12.5%, including slot revenue of $174.4 million (up 9.1%) and table game revenue of $60.3 million (up 23.5%). From the beginning of the year to date, the total gambling revenue in the state was $5.74 billion, up 10%, with both online gambling and physical casinos achieving stable growth.
