The non-profit organization BetBlocker recently announced the official launch of its Finnish version of the gambling self-exclusion tool, aimed at providing Finnish users with more convenient native language self-exclusion services. This localization has been made possible through cooperation with the gambling comparison platform Casino Guru, further expanding the coverage of this free tool.
BetBlocker founder Duncan Garvie stated that Casino Guru not only provides resource support but also continuously helps the organization to enhance its influence and promote user support services. He emphasized that providing services in the user's native language can significantly increase user engagement, especially in high-risk situations where intervention is urgently needed.
The launch of the Finnish version is a continuation of BetBlocker's globalization strategy. Recently, the organization has also released Serbian, Japanese, and French versions, making significant progress in multiple markets. Since January 2025, BetBlocker has rapidly exceeded 20,000 users in Brazil, becoming the fastest-growing region, a success closely related to the precise entry into the local emerging regulated market with the Portuguese version launched in September 2024.
Currently, BetBlocker's blocking software can restrict user access to over 90,000 gambling websites and 1,500 gambling apps, effectively assisting users in achieving self-exclusion. Additionally, the organization has further strengthened its cooperation and influence in North America by joining the "National Council on Problem Gambling" and becoming its only gold member non-profit.
