After the Indian Parliament passed the "Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Act" and completely banned all forms of real money online gambling, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently conducted raids on several buildings associated with Karnataka Congress MP KC Veerendra "Puppy". This action is related to a money laundering case involving online betting and gaming and has been included in the investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

KC Veerendra Puppy has been serving as the Congress MP for Chitradurga district since 2023, elected with 122,000 votes, leading his opponent by 53,000 votes. However, his potential ties to the gambling industry have attracted public attention: he frequently promotes the "Puppy's Casino Gold" located in Goa on social media, which even becomes the primary Google search result associated with his name.

Although it has not been officially confirmed whether he directly owns the casino assets, the Puppy's Casino Gold website mainly serves as a promotional platform, and the possibility of other operational channels behind it cannot be ruled out.

It is noteworthy that with the new law taking effect, mainstream gambling forms such as poker, rummy, and online lotteries have been completely banned, with only electronic sports and educational games still supported by the government. This raid is interpreted by the public as an important signal from the Indian government to strengthen law enforcement and combat corruption and illegal gambling networks following the anti-gambling legislation.
