Online gambling company Betano announced an agreement with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) to become the official title sponsor of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (Portuguese Super Cup), effective immediately.
According to the agreement, this year's match will be renamed Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira Betano and will take place on July 31 at the Algarve Stadium, featuring Sporting Portugal against Benfica. This partnership is seen as an important step for Betano to deepen its influence in the Portuguese sports ecosystem.
Betano has been deeply involved in the Portuguese market for six years, having previously sponsored numerous local and international events, including the upcoming 2025 Copa America Femenina in Ecuador, for which it has become the official sponsor.
João Medeiros Cardoso, Director of Marketing and New Business at the Portuguese Football Federation, stated: "This partnership not only helps to upgrade the Super Cup brand but also demonstrates that Portuguese football is moving towards a global leading brand positioning."
It was revealed that Betano and the Portuguese Football Federation will plan a series of live interactions and fan activities during this edition of the Super Cup to enhance the atmosphere of the event.
Ricardo Branquinho, National Manager for Betano Portugal, also emphasized: "By title sponsoring the Super Cup, we not only deepen our cooperation with the federation but also bring fans closer to football, helping to raise the overall standard of sports sponsorship in Portugal."
This agreement signing comes as Betano accelerates its global expansion pace. Previously, it had become the official partner for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup South America zone and had collaborated with FIFA during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Furthermore, Betano also announced today a partnership agreement with 7777 Gaming for the Latin American market, further expanding its influence in the global gambling market.
