According to Gamelook's April new game revenue chart, "Disney Solitaire" achieved a revenue of 30 million yuan within two weeks of its launch, developed by Playtika's subsidiary SuperPlay. This card mobile game quickly rose to the top of the track, and its "multiplier gameplay + casual card" combination has attracted widespread attention. In recent years, card games have quietly heated up overseas, with major companies like King, Wooga, and Metacore entering the field, sparking a new wave of card game popularity.
The SuperPlay team rose to prominence with "Dice Dreams" and "Domino Dreams," accumulating over $300 million in revenue over three years, and was later acquired by Playtika for $700 million. "Disney Solitaire" is one of its key new works.
This game continues the card game economic model of "Solitaire Grand Harvest": betting coins before the level, and returning profits after winning according to the multiplier, while incorporating nostalgic scene construction loops with Disney IP. This "casual + gambling" style gameplay drives high-frequency player engagement, which is key to monetization.
Data shows that "Disney Solitaire" has an RPD of $1.25, twice that of "Candy Crush Solitaire" in the same period. Compared to the latter's innovative "holding card" mechanism but lacking a betting system, it is generally believed in the industry that the card + multiplier mechanism will become the mainstream in the future.
The industry is also observing whether this game is likely to challenge the throne of "Solitaire Grand Harvest" with an RPD of $14.15, ushering in the "golden era of card mobile games going overseas."
