Starting from July 2025, the Bureau of Immigration of the Philippines will officially increase the express lane fees for all expedited processing services from the original 500 pesos to 1000 pesos, an increase of 100%. The new regulation has attracted attention from all sectors, especially affecting foreigners who frequently handle visa or departure procedures.
According to the latest announcement from the Immigration Bureau, this price adjustment applies to several common immigration programs, including the processing of ECC departure clearance certificates, renewal, transfer, and downgrade of 9G work visas, extensions and status conversions of tourist and dependent visas. Any application for expedited processing will need to pay according to the new standards.
The Immigration Bureau stated that the adjustment is mainly due to ongoing inflationary pressures, rising system maintenance costs, and increased investment in online platform construction. At the same time, improving window efficiency and service quality has also become a key factor in the price increase.
According to official sources, this fee standard has not been adjusted since 2000 and has been in use for 25 years. This increase has been approved by the Philippine Fee Review Committee and the Board of Directors of the Immigration Bureau and will be officially implemented from July.
The Immigration Bureau emphasizes that although the fees have been increased, they will also promote digital reform and process optimization to provide applicants with a more efficient and convenient service experience.
