Recently, Thai Prime Minister Pei Tongtan hosted a special meeting at the Prime Minister's Office to deploy a new round of actions against transnational crime, specifically targeting telecom fraud groups. Before the meeting, she stated to the media that telecom fraud not only threatens social stability but also undermines the international community's confidence in Thailand, and must be eradicated with a resolute attitude.

Pei Tongtan named Cambodia as one of the largest global hubs for online fraud, noting that the border area adjacent to Thailand has long been a major infiltration point for telecom fraud groups. She emphasized that the next phase would focus on eradicating the "financial, technological, and personnel chains" of the telecom fraud organizations to completely destroy the transnational crime ecosystem.

With the joint efforts of the National Security Department and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Thai efforts have begun to show results. According to the meeting report, the economic losses from related telecom fraud activities in Cambodia have exceeded 30 billion Thai Baht, and the transnational crime chains have been severely damaged. Pei Tongtan firmly stated: "The greater their losses, the safer our people will be. The fight will never cease!"

She reiterated the government's core goal of creating a safe and stable social environment, calling on all officials and frontline forces to work together to continue reducing the number of cases and restore peace of mind to the people. This statement is seen as a clear signal of Thailand's comprehensive crackdown on "border gray production."
