The renowned Philippine integrated resort, Newport World Resorts, announced a significant upgrade to its online gaming platform to better engage in the rapidly growing digital gaming market in the Philippines.
The parent company, Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI), confirmed in a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange that the upgrade aims to integrate existing systems rather than launching new gaming applications.
AGI noted that digital gaming revenue is expected to have a positive impact on its subsidiary, Travellers International Hotel Group, and the entire AGI gaming portfolio. Currently, digital gaming accounts for about half of the total revenue of casinos in the Philippines,
and is expected to become a key growth area in the industry.
Newport World Resorts, located opposite Terminal 3 of Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, is the first integrated resort in the Philippines, featuring seven major hotel brands and offering a wide range of gaming, entertainment, dining, and retail options.
The resort also supports responsible gaming through dedicated programs, including education, assistance services, and self-exclusion mechanisms.
This upgrade of the online platform marks an important step in Newport World Resorts' digital transformation, aiming to combine traditional hospitality with modern gaming trends to meet the growing market demand.
