According to reports, the Border Guard Force (BGF) of Myanmar has been conducting a special operation against cross-border fraud and human trafficking in Myawaddy city and surrounding areas (including Shwegyin Valley and KK Industrial Park) since February 16, successfully arresting 7,141 foreigners involved, with 4,860 of them being Chinese nationals, making up the highest proportion.
The arrested individuals come from 29 different countries, with specific numbers and nationalities as follows:
1. China: 4,860 people (Male 4,764, Female 96)
2. Vietnam: 572 people (Male 511, Female 61)
3. India: 526 people (Male 498, Female 28)
4. Ethiopia: 430 people (Male 396, Female 34)
5. Indonesia: 283 people (Male 217, Female 66)
6. Philippines: 127 people (Male 54, Female 73)
7. Malaysia: 70 people (Male 65, Female 5)
8. Pakistan: 78 people (Male 64, Female 4)
9. Kenya: 64 people (Male 38, Female 26)
10. Taiwan: 25 people (Male 24, Female 1)
11. Nepal: 17 people (Male 15, Female 2)
12. South Africa: 17 people (Male 13, Female 4)
13. Uganda: 13 people (Male 5, Female 8)
14. Other African regions: 9 people (Male 6, Female 3)

Currently, the BGF has confirmed the willingness for voluntary repatriation of all involved individuals and has submitted the list to the Myanmar government, which is coordinating with the Thai government and other relevant national governments to expedite the repatriation process of the citizens.
