More than 1,500 missionaries accessed comprehensive ophthalmological controls during the year.
Argentina.- The program Look Better, from the government of the province of Misiones and coordinated by the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC Misiones), closes 2024 with 18 municipalities visited. During the year, more than 1,500 missionaries accessed comprehensive ophthalmological controls, and of the total, more than 1,300 received glasses for free.
This week the last edition of the year of the Look Better program took place in the commune of Olegario Víctor Andrade. During the day, more than 60 neighbors received vision checks, comprehensive care, referrals, and accessed glasses. From the IPLyC it was reported that the patients highlighted the proposal that reached the locality to provide specific care that, in many cases, is impossible for them to access due to economic and mobility reasons.
In this regard, the president of the IPLyC, Héctor Rojas Decut, assured that “with this proposal we provide the missionaries with an immediate solution. With a comprehensive control, with free glasses that, undoubtedly, will change the life of each one”.

The initiative of the IPLyC Misiones began on August 20 in Almafuerte and visited Cerro Azul, San Javier, Cerro Corá, and Loreto. It also made its presence in Panambí, Santa Ana, Capioví, Dos de Mayo, and Campo Ramón. It also reached Santo Pipó, Arroyo del Medio, Hipólito Yrigoyen, Profundidad, Gobernador López, Dos Arroyos, Mártires, and Olegario Víctor Andrade. The operations will resume in February.
On the other hand, the president of the IPLyC, Héctor Rojas Decut, led a lunch with heads of Official Lottery Agencies of Misiones and their families. During the meeting, Rojas Decut proposed to go through the next year promoting unity among the IPLyC, agents, and suppliers, and in his speech emphasized that all parties get involved in “making visible and raising awareness about clandestine online gambling”.
The meeting took place last Sunday, December 15, at the Recreational Space, in Posadas, organized by the IPLyC SE and the Chamber of Agents.
