There was a submission from netizens saying that Chinese people are the easiest group to be kidnapped in the Philippines.

The reasons include insufficient police force, poor public security, and difficult case investigations in some areas of the Philippines. However, the fundamental reason is the relatively strong economic power of the Chinese, large business capital flows, making them easy targets for kidnappers!

Simply put, Chinese people are seen as "fat sheep" in the eyes of these kidnappers.

However, those who kidnap these fat sheep are none other than our fellow Chinese!

Among these kidnappers, many specialize in targeting Chinese people, engaging in kidnapping, robbery, and theft, committing all kinds of evil deeds. San Hai, Yang Yang, and Zhang Xiaolong are all well-known repeat offenders!

There's an old saying: "When fellow villagers meet, tears fill their eyes," but in the Philippines, it's more like fellow villagers meet and shoot each other in the back!

In the early years in Nanyang, the traditional virtues of mutual assistance and hard work among Chinese people have long disappeared. Under the backdrop of poor security and developed gray industries in Southeast Asia, many Chinese people are indifferent, suspicious, and engage in various scams against their compatriots.

The recent incidents of Chinese harming their fellow countrymen are particularly chilling!

Firstly, there was the highly publicized incident in June where two Chinese medical executives were lured to the Philippines, kidnapped, and their ransom demanded. At that time, due to the involvement of the Chinese embassy and the American citizenship of one of the victims, the Philippine investigation was swift. However, there was little progress in the months before the incident, with rumors that the person who lured them to Manila was a Chinese woman named Li Na.

Late in September, Li Na was arrested, and only then did we learn that she was also Taiwanese.

The mastermind behind the incident was also arrested in the United States in October. It is lamentable that the mastermind was also Chinese! Although other suspects are still at large, most of them are likely Chinese as well!

In October, another shocking incident of compatriots harming each other occurred, which was the shooting at Xiao Jun Gan Hotpot restaurant on October 17th! Imagine, one second you are eating with someone at the same table, and the next second, he pulls out a handgun and fires several shots at you, how terrifying!

Some say this incident was premeditated by a woman in white, Hu Dan, involving complex love triangles or even quadrangles, while others say it was due to financial disputes. But why resort to pulling out a gun instead of talking things out?

It is reported that the shooter was a Chinese man named "Baolong," and the person who fled with him was nicknamed "Zi An." The two drove away, abandoned the car, and then disappeared without a trace, with no further clues found to date.

On the morning of the 19th, just yesterday, 46-year-old Chinese Shaoping Zhang was found dead in a gray Toyota Avanza, with multiple stab wounds, and the murderer was also a Chinese, Liu Chow Qun.

It was just a simple verbal argument, but the murderer returned with a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times while he was sitting in the car, leading to his death from excessive blood loss.

Not only in the Philippines, but there are also many incidents of Chinese harming their compatriots in other Southeast Asian countries.

Remember the Chinese who was kidnapped, weighed down with two 20KG iron blocks, and drowned? He was also killed by his compatriots!

In the early hours of October 30th, Chheng Horakang (alias Khang), who had just left his relative's house, disappeared. His body was found by Cambodian police in a reservoir on the morning of November 1st.

According to his wife, he was a small business owner who ran a supermarket. But the kidnappers demanded a ransom of $300,000 right away.

Later, police found that four Chinese citizens were involved in the case, one of whom, Sun, has been arrested, while the other three are suspected to have fled to Thailand. No further news has been heard.

Moreover, at around 2 AM on the 11th, there was another incident in Phnom Penh where a Chinese man chased another with a knife. Failing to catch the person he intended to attack, the assailant turned on the bystanders, injuring a tuk-tuk driver who was watching the scene.

No wonder Filipino netizens would say, "Your countrymen come here to kill your own people, and then blame our poor public security?"

In the future, these undocumented robbers and murderers will continue to be active in the Philippines. Even though a significant number of Chinese have left due to POGO, as long as there are Chinese people, these criminals will not stop harming their compatriots.

Similarly, those who have moved to Thailand, Cambodia, and other countries, please also be mindful of your safety. It is said that many Chinese involved in these crimes have also moved to those countries following the trend.
