The Mega da Virada 2024, a special Mega-Sena contest, number 2,810, promises to pay a record prize of R$ 600 million, surpassing last year's amount and becoming the largest in the category. Betting started this Monday (11). The draw will be held on December 31.
Just like in the other special contests of the CAIXA Lotteries, the main prize of the Mega da Virada does not accumulate. If there are no winners in the main category, with a match of 6 numbers, the prize will be divided among the winners of the 2nd category (with a match of 5 numbers) and so on, according to the rules of the category.
Considering all the prize categories of the Mega da Virada, the total prize money for winners of all categories can exceed R$ 1 billion.
Bets must be placed using a specific Mega da Virada slip only through the CAIXA Lotteries channels: the more than 13,000 CAIXA lottery outlets spread across Brazil, the CAIXA Lotteries portal, and the CAIXA Lotteries app (IOS and Android), in addition to CAIXA Internet Banking, exclusive to CAIXA account holders. The cost of a simple bet, with 6 numbers, is R$ 5.
CAIXA Pool
To participate in a Mega-Sena pool, the bettor can buy shares of pools organized by the lotteries where a service fee of up to 35% of the share value may be charged.
Shares can also be purchased on the CAIXA Lotteries portal or through the CAIXA Lotteries App with a service fee of 35% of the share value.
The CAIXA Lotteries pool is a way for bettors to make group bets. Simply fill in the appropriate field on the slip or ask the lottery attendant.
In the Mega-Sena, the pools have a minimum price of R$ 15. However, each share cannot be less than R$ 6. It is possible to make a pool with a minimum of two and a maximum of 100 shares.
A maximum of ten bets per pool is allowed. In the case of a pool with more than one bet, all of them must contain the same number of forecast numbers.
