The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has arrested about 130 foreigners on charges of alleged internet fraud, hacking, and activities threatening national security.
The arrested foreigners are primarily Chinese and Malaysians, comprising 87 males and 26 females, captured in the Jahi district of Abuja.
Police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi issued a statement on Sunday, noting that an additional 17 arrested individuals are Nigerians.
The official statement reads in part: "This strategic operation was conducted through a coordinated raid on a building in the Next Cash and Carry area of Jahi city, Abuja, where suspects were reportedly using computers and other sophisticated equipment to facilitate criminal activities."
