The football club Atenas de Río Cuarto is at the center of a scandal after the crime committed by its president, Federico Filippa, was revealed.
Argentina.- Federico Felippa, the president of the football club Atenas de Río Cuarto, was discovered by the justice of Córdoba for the manipulation of the results of his team to obtain economic benefits through an online betting platform.
On Tuesday morning, Filippa was arrested in compliance with an order from the provincial headquarters. The leader was at his home, which was raided along with two other apartments on San Martín street at 1700. He is currently being held at the former Regional Unit No. 9.

After the match, a complaint was filed with the Lottery of Córdoba upon detecting bets made on an official online betting site. It is suspected that the match generated an approximate profit of AR$4m for the leader.
The arrest was the result of a thorough investigation by the provincial police, who gathered sufficient evidence to proceed with the capture of the leader of Albo. The case is being analyzed by the justice of Córdoba, which will make a decision in the coming hours.
