According to reports from Cambodian media, five Cambodian citizens aged between 18 and 43 were brought to the court in Madawong Province for allegedly illegally detaining, kidnapping, and trafficking a Chinese man.

The victim, named Mr. Li, is 41 years old. The police stated that the incident was exposed on October 10th at 6:48 PM on Highway 5 in Sangke District, Madawong Province.

Local police intercepted a silver car with the license plate number 2AZ-8138 on the road, containing five people, including four Cambodians and one Chinese man. Since the occupants could not speak Chinese, they only indicated that their destination was Pobei.

The police then contacted a translator and learned that the Chinese man had been kidnapped from Bangkok and had been illegally detained in Chaiyaphum Province for four days and nights, and he was unaware of where he was being taken.

Further investigation revealed that the four were arranged by a man named Sat Kimheng, with the purpose of transporting the victim from Buri City in Chaiyaphum Province to Pobei City in Bandeay Meanchey Province.

The local police quickly coordinated with the Sihanoukville police and successfully arrested Sat Kimheng. Currently, the Chinese man has safely returned home, and the five suspects will face charges of "illegal detention of others." Additionally, the police stated that they are still investigating the case, suspecting that there might be a larger mastermind involved.
