The General Directorate for Gambling Regulation granted extensions of the licenses for slot machines and online betting.
Spain.- The General Directorate for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ) granted extensions of the singular casino and online betting licenses to various operators. The companies Hillside España Leisure, Ebingo Online, Betway Spain, EFBET, and LP ES received the license extensions and secured their continuity in the Spanish gambling sector.
Hillside España Leisure, a company that markets and operates gambling games, obtained the extension of its license to continue operating slot machines in Spanish territory. The Spanish-origin firm based in Madrid, Ebingo Online España, also received the extension of its singular license, allowing it to maintain its market presence.
The platform Betway Spain also secured the extension of its license in Spain, strengthening its position in the sector. Meanwhile, the DGOJ granted an extension of the singular license for the development and exploitation of roulette to EFBET, allowing them to continue offering this type of game to their users.

On the other hand, the firm LP ES, holder of several licenses for the exploitation of online gambling games, obtained an extension for the validity of its singular license aimed at the development and exploitation of blackjack. This resolution reinforces the continuity of the company's operations, which also has general licenses for the offer of other games and licenses for roulette, slot machines, and slots. Veramatic Online received the official approval of its technical system for the exploitation of the type of game "Other Counterpart Betting".
Meanwhile, DGOJ released the figures of online gambling in Spain during the second quarter of the year. The Gross Gaming Revenue for the quarter was EUR346.34m (USD363.95m), representing a decrease of -1.24 percent compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 10.79 percent compared to the same quarter of 2023.
From the rest of the main magnitudes analyzed in the report, deposits and withdrawals by players, increased their variation rates compared to the previous year by 17.87 percent and 17.76 percent respectively. Compared to the previous quarter, deposits decreased by -0.30 percent and withdrawals increased by 0.97 percent.
