The Swedish gambling regulatory authority, Spelinspektionen, has once again taken action, ordering two unlicensed gaming providers—Solid Software Solutions and Rabocse—to immediately cease their operations and marketing activities in the Swedish market.
Investigations have shown that although the two companies do not have a Swedish license, they have reached local users in various ways. Solid Software Solutions was found to provide customer service channels with Swedish phone numbers and has received reviews from Swedish consumers; Rabocse's website and its affiliated platforms contain a large amount of Swedish content and game pages targeted at the local audience.
It is noteworthy that Rabocse holds a license from Comoros, and Solid Software Solutions is headquartered in Costa Rica, but this does not serve as a legal credential to enter the Swedish market. According to the Swedish Gambling Act, any company not certified and licensed is not allowed to provide gambling services or conduct promotions targeting Swedish players.
Spelinspektionen has formally notified the two companies to comply with the regulations and exit the Swedish market immediately, but as of now, neither has responded. The regulatory authority also emphasized that it will continue to crack down on illegal operations and marketing, including the frequent promotions by unlicensed operators on platforms such as Twitch.
