The rapidly expanding fintech company ProntoPaga in Peru has announced a strategic partnership with the most popular mobile payment app Yape, further consolidating its market footprint in Latin America. This alliance will integrate two core products: Yape On File and Yape One Shot.
These features will enable millions of Peruvian users to conveniently make online purchases, subscription payments, and transaction authorizations, not only enhancing the security of the payment process but also significantly reducing operational thresholds and process friction.
Yape currently has over 14 million users, making it the second largest mobile application in Peru after WhatsApp, with more than 817 million transactions per month. This integration also allows users to link their Yape accounts as a universal payment method, pushing Peru towards a more efficient digital payment ecosystem.
Yape On File is a payment solution suitable for e-commerce and online service scenarios, including two core features:
One-click payment: After completing the initial registration, users can make payments with one click without having to re-enter information, especially suitable for frequent transactions or subscription services;
Recurring billing: With just one authorization, periodic billing operations can be automatically completed.
In daily life, this technology greatly enhances convenience. For example, ride-sharing platform users only need to enter their phone number once, and subsequent rides can be paid for with a single click; education platform users can also achieve automatic monthly fee payments by linking accounts.
Another feature, Yape One Shot, simplifies the transaction confirmation process, allowing users to complete payments through authorization without entering any information, widely applicable to takeaway and e-commerce scenarios.
Micha Calmet, Regional Manager of ProntoPaga in Peru, stated: "This cooperation marks a new stage in digital payments in Peru. We aim to promote a digital economy built together by merchants and consumers through a faster, safer, and more convenient payment experience."
Additionally, ProntoPaga has also announced that it has become the first company in Peru to offer PayOuts intelligent routing services. This technology allows users to withdraw funds to wallets or bank accounts, with a maximum of 3,500 soles per transaction, widely applicable to merchant withdrawals and user settlements.
Juan Carlos Flores, Chief Product Officer at ProntoPaga, pointed out: "With a single API architecture, we bring merchants a higher success rate and faster payment solutions. For consumers, this not only improves transaction efficiency but also further ensures transaction security."
Through this strategic alliance, ProntoPaga is reshaping the digital payment landscape in Peru, promoting the rapid implementation and popularization of fintech locally.
