In response to the national "anti-cyber fraud" campaign initiated by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, the governor of Kampong Province, Mao Toning, recently chaired a provincial joint command administrative meeting. For the first time, he explicitly named the local "I Entertainment Casino" and "Boge Paradise Casino," demanding the immediate initiation of self-inspection, rectification, and reporting procedures, and strictly prohibiting all illegal activities related to online gambling and telecommunications fraud.
During the meeting, Governor Mao Toning spoke strongly, requiring the aforementioned casinos to submit the latest operational site reports and fully comply with the laws and regulations of the Cambodian Commercial Gambling Regulatory Board (CBRB). He stated firmly, "Anyone who dares to violate the rules will face severe consequences, with legal violations being investigated and disciplinary actions taken without leniency!"
Governor Mao emphasized that this crackdown is not a standalone action but a systematic measure to implement central directives and maintain social order. He explicitly warned that Kampong Province would continue to carry out larger-scale and deeper cleanup operations, resolutely cutting off the chains of cyber fraud dens operating under the guise of casinos, hotels, and industrial parks, and stated, "Anyone who dares to emerge should be prepared to pay the price."
Additionally, Mao Toning highly praised the rapid response of various law enforcement agencies within the province recently. He especially thanked the Kampong Provincial Police Department, municipal and county public security, and administrative forces for their efficient coordination and execution in combating cyber fraud and online gaming crimes.
According to statistics, since Prime Minister Hun Manet issued the directive to combat cyber fraud, 12 key provinces and cities including Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, Siem Reap, and Pursat have launched synchronized actions. In just 22 days, nearly 50 related venues were sealed, and over 2000 suspects of cyber fraud were arrested, highlighting the government's resolute will and efficient execution in eliminating cyber fraud and regulating gambling.
The naming and rectification in Kampong Province is just the beginning. As the intensity of the crackdown continues to escalate, Cambodia is experiencing a nationwide "anti-cyber fraud storm." In this smokeless battle, all pretenders attempting to hide, condone, or operate in disguise will have nowhere to escape.
