Data technology company Total Performance Data (TPD) has introduced its GPS tracking and in-race odds system to the Hipódromo de Palermo in Argentina, marking the company's third deployment in South America and making Palermo the first racecourse in Argentina to adopt the system.
This collaboration means that Palermo joins a global network of over 150 racecourses that utilize TPD technology. The new system integrates real-time positioning tracking, live odds generation, and visual graphics, aimed at enhancing the overall experience for spectators, broadcasters, and industry participants, while also driving more digital business interactions.
TPD had previously deployed its technology in Chile, and this implementation in Buenos Aires represents its latest achievement in deepening the South American market, consistent with its strategy to enhance the global horse racing data infrastructure.
TPD Racing Partnership Director Adam Moore said: "We are thrilled that Palermo has become our third partner racecourse in South America. As one of the most iconic racecourses in Latin America, Palermo's inclusion reflects the region's growing emphasis on high-quality horse racing data and tracking technology."
Moreover, Moore also emphasized that TPD will continue to support the local team in driving upgrades and innovations in the racing experience.
Federico Spangenberg, Racing Manager at Palermo Racecourse, added: "We are proud to be the first racecourse in Argentina to adopt TPD technology. This advanced system brings our events up to international standards, further enhancing the transparency and global appeal of our races."
