Sports betting company Tipico has announced that it will become the official partner of the German 3. Liga (Third Division) starting from the 2025/26 season. The new agreement with the German Football Association (DFB) is for three years and will last until the end of the 2027/28 season.
This partnership marks Tipico's achievement in covering all professional football events in Germany, completing the last link in its existing collaborations with the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, and the German Football Association Cup (men's and women's).
Under the agreement, Tipico will obtain central advertising rights for the 3. Liga, including the Tipico co-branding on the right sleeve of all 20 club jerseys, advertising slots during TV broadcasts, and comprehensive digital asset exposure. These advertising revenues will be distributed annually directly to all clubs in the league, enhancing their financial sustainability.
Tipico's Marketing and Brand Director, Kajetan Strini-Brown, stated: "The 3. Liga is a true representation of football—stadiums packed to capacity, intense competition, filled with hope and suspense, which aligns perfectly with our brand philosophy."
He added: "Becoming a partner of the 3. Liga is an important extension of our commitment to German football. We have already established good cooperation with the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, and the German Football Association, and now we have finally achieved comprehensive cooperation with all professional events."
It is noteworthy that Tipico is an officially licensed sports betting operator in Germany, listed among the legally registered providers. This partnership also corresponds with its "Trusted Partner" program, aimed at strengthening the position of licensed operators, curbing illegal betting activities, and injecting regulation and transparency into the German sports betting market.
This new agreement not only enhances Tipico's brand exposure but also brings more stable sponsorship support to the 3. Liga, helping the league further enhance its influence and commercial development potential.
