Spillemyndigheden imposed a fine of 10,000 Danish Kroner ($1,505) on a Twitch streamer for promoting an illegal gaming provider during their broadcast.
The Danish Gambling Authority noted that they had previously promoted game providers without holding the necessary licenses to operate in that jurisdiction.
As a result, the violation has been reported to the police, and the streamer has been fined 10,000 Danish Kroner following the authorities' recommendation.
This is the second time the Danish Gambling Authority has successfully taken action against streamers on Twitch for posting illegal casino games.
Many Twitch streamers still engage in esports game skin gambling, an unregulated form of gambling on black market websites using in-game items.
Twitch previously allowed various forms of gambling content on its site, but after receiving negative feedback on the matter, the platform took steps to restrict the types of content allowed on the streaming service.
Websites such as Stake and Roobet, as well as any sites not licensed by a reputable jurisdiction, are prohibited by Twitch.
Twitch's terms and conditions also state that the site "does not allow users to share links or affiliate codes to sites that contain slots, roulette, or dice games".
Recently, Spillemynhidegen revealed that due to the strong growth in the online casino industry, gambling expenditure in Denmark increased in March.
