The online gambling market in Ontario achieved significant growth in the fiscal year 2024-25 (April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025), with total revenue reaching CAD 3.2 billion (approximately USD 2.3 billion), setting a record high since the province opened its legal online gambling market in April 2022.
This figure represents a 32% increase over the previous fiscal year and a 129% increase since the market opened.
Segment Performance
Of the CAD 3.2 billion in total revenue, casino gaming contributed the most, reaching CAD 2.4 billion, a year-over-year increase of 36%. Sports betting revenue was CAD 724 million, up 23%, while online poker revenue remained stable at CAD 66 million.
In terms of betting volume, the total online betting amount in the province reached CAD 82.7 billion, a 31% increase year-over-year. Among these:
Casino betting amounted to CAD 69.6 billion (up 34%)
Sports betting amounted to CAD 11.4 billion (up 17%)
Poker betting amounted to CAD 1.7 billion (up 2%)

The fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25 (January-March 2025) was particularly outstanding:
Quarterly revenue reached a new high of CAD 903 million
Total betting volume for the quarter was CAD 22.9 billion
Revenue for March alone was CAD 294.8 million, up 22.3% year-over-year
