Data provider Bayes Esports announced an extension of its existing partnership with Genius Sports, providing esports data for the latter's sports betting products.
Following the announcement in August 2024 to expand the partnership agreement, Genius Sports and Bayes Esports aim to further strengthen their existing collaboration through this latest agreement.
More specifically, as part of the new agreement, Bayes' subsidiary Grid will allow Genius Sports access to its streaming and data visualization. Bayes will provide real-time data from esports such as "League of Legends", "Valorant", and "Rainbow Six". Additionally, as part of this new integration arrangement, Genius will now have access to a range of CS2 and Dota 2 data from esports tournaments.
Genius Sports' Global Partnerships Director Matt Stephenson commented on this development, saying: "We are thrilled to announce new partnerships with Bayes and GRID, both leaders in their respective fields, aimed at creating an unmatched esports content suite for our sports betting partners. As the new home of esports for sports betting, we will provide our partners with the highest quality data and odds for the most prestigious sporting events."
Good news: Earlier this month, Genius Sports announced its full-year revenue for 2024 at $510.9 million, a 24% increase year-over-year.
In fact, this latest announcement was made following the appointment of Mark Kropf as Chief Technology Officer in October.
Recently, in March this year, the company was sued by Panda Interactive (and Sportradar) for alleged violations of antitrust laws, subsequently undergoing legal scrutiny.
