Supplier Altenar announced its entry into the Danish market, following the approval of its B2B supplier license by the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden).

After passing the review process by the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA), Altenar has now been certified to provide sports betting solutions to businesses in the market for the next five years.

Denmark announced a new licensing regime last June, which took effect on January 1, making Altenar one of the first gambling organizations to be licensed under the new framework by the DGA.

The application for these licenses begins on September 1, 2024, so more licenses are expected to be screened to more potential companies in the coming weeks.

Magno Neiva, head of licensing and regulatory compliance at Altenar, commented on this latest development: "Obtaining the Danish B2B supplier license is an important milestone for Altenar, as it is one of the top ten online gambling markets in Europe with ample growth opportunities."

"We are delighted to bring our award-winning sports betting solutions to Danish players and will continue to strive to offer more outstanding products and services to attract new audiences in the region."

Worth noting: From July 1, 2025, the new certification scheme in Denmark must be complied with

This latest development follows Altenar's entry into the Georgian market in June 2024 through a partnership with Ambassadoribet.

Since then, the supplier has also expanded its partnership with Swish Analytics to enhance its Major League Baseball (MLB) betting products in the US, and established a new sports betting partnership with BetStarters.

Recently, in December, the company also celebrated obtaining a national manufacturer license in the South African market after approval by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.
