With the regulation of sports betting in Brazil, Caf, a reference in digital identity, has already established itself as one of the main providers in the market. In 2024, Caf launched Bet ID, a complete solution for bettor authentication and compliance with new rules. The solution offers a no code platform, which facilitates implementation and makes the process of adapting to regulation much faster for companies.
The solution encompasses a specific combination of technologies that, together, create a user validation flow for betting and allows a frictionless onboarding, with access to the necessary data for bettor validation.
These technologies include facial recognition analysis and life proof through AI — essential in sectors with high fraud rates, such as gambling, the latest version of Caf's documentoscopy (identification and validation of documents) capable of delivering higher accuracy and approval rates, and automated background check for complete KYC (Know Your Customer) of the bettor.
In addition to the databases already used by other industries, the Bet ID solution enables access to information on "People Barred from Betting" that ensures compliance with Law 14.790/23, identifying restricted individuals, such as athletes, betting house partners, and Ministry of Finance employees.
