Starting this Wednesday, December 18, all bets for the Mega-Sena mode will be exclusive for Mega da Virada, the most awaited draw of the year in Brazil. The estimated prize is 600 million reais, the largest in the history of CAIXA Lotteries. It is important to note that the prize does not accumulate: if there are no winners with six correct numbers, the amount will be distributed among those who match five numbers, and so on.
If a single winner takes the prize and invests it in the Poupança de CAIXA, they would earn approximately 3.4 million reais in the first month as income.
Betting deadline
Interested parties can place their bets until 18:00 (Brasilia time) on December 31. Bets are available at lotteries throughout the country, on the CAIXA Lotteries portal, on the CAIXA Lotteries mobile app (for Android and iOS), and through CAIXA's Internet Banking. The minimum value of a simple bet, with six numbers, is R$ 5.00.
A historic draw
Since its first edition in 2009, Mega da Virada has awarded 121 bets with hits on the six tens. Among the most drawn numbers are: 10, 05, and 33, while others like 58 and 36 have also brought luck to several winners.
Social impact of betting
Beyond the excitement of the game, each bet directly contributes to the social development of Brazil. Almost half of the revenues from CAIXA Lotteries are allocated to key areas such as education, sports, culture, security, and social security, as established by current legislation.
