Sportsbook solutions provider Betby has added new betting markets to its esports coverage.
The company said it now offers three times more outright options than the market average.
New markets include tournament most valuable player (MVP) and Magnum sniper rifle (AWP) kill comparisons in Counter-Strike 2.
In Defense of the Ancients (Dota), Betby now allows players to bet on most popular hero (picks and bans) and hero with highest kill death assist (KDA).
Betby’s markets also cover other esports titles such as Escape from Tarkov: Arena and Standoff 2.
The markets are refreshed throughout tournaments, allowing bets to be placed between game days or stages.
"We decided to accelerate the launch of new outrights and player prop markets for esports because we see a gap in the industry,” said Kirill Nekrasov, head of Betby Games at Betby.
“We wanted to develop our own solutions and noticed that even though providers offer classic pre-tournament outrights, none of them provide continuously updated outrights when the events are in progress.”
Nekrasov said that while player props have become “standard” in sports such as football and basketball, he said they will be an “absolute must-have in the future” due to the increasingly wider availability of performance and statistics of teams and players.
