The Cyber Police Command of Thailand, in collaboration with the investigative team, held a press conference announcing the successful crackdown on the criminal network involved with the online gambling site "Macua888" (also known as "Macau 888").
This operation was initiated by the directive of the Chief of the National Police of Thailand, aimed at intensifying the fight against illegal online gambling activities. The investigation revealed that the site had been engaged in online football betting and other gambling services, attracting a large number of Thai citizens.
The police conducted raids on five locations associated with the criminal gang, arresting five core members including the 28-year-old mastermind Angkri, along with 19-year-old financial manager Pumilapi, and 29-year-old financial officer Nirinya, among others.
In this operation, the Thai Cyber Police seized illegal assets totaling over 110 million Thai Baht, specifically including:
A McLaren 720S sports car valued at 30 million Thai Baht
A Lamborghini Urus valued at 25 million Thai Baht
A Lexus LM350h valued at 7.59 million Thai Baht
A Toyota Fortuner SUV
High-end watches, including 4 Richard Mille, 3 Patek Philippe, and 1 Rolex, with a total value of 47.5 million Thai Baht
Over 6 million Thai Baht in cash, designer bags, 3 Cartier bracelets, 28 Bearbrick figures, 2 firearms, 22 mobile phones, 11 sets of computer equipment, 43 bank books, and 28 ATM cards.
According to the police investigation, this gambling network had been operating for over 7 months, attracting more than 117,000 members, with an annual financial turnover exceeding 360 million Thai Baht.
