Argentina.- Within the framework of a joint initiative with the Council of the Judiciary, Buenos Aires City Lottery (LOTBA) conducted a training day for the educational team of the María Auxiliadora School. The event, which was opened by Ezequiel Domínguez, director of LOTBA, and authorities from the Council, aimed to:
“Child gambling addiction is a problem that has grown in recent years and affects thousands of children and adolescents around the world, and our city is not exempt,” highlighted Domínguez, who also referred to the importance of carrying out collaboration agreements to address this issue comprehensively.
“In an increasingly digitalized reality, access to illegal gaming platforms represents a risk that must be addressed transversally and this requires the joint work of all institutions, including schools,” explained from LOTBA, while emphasizing: “At LOTBA we are convinced that prevention starts with awareness, talking about the issue and putting it on the daily agenda of educators, families, and organizations in general. Therefore, we will continue collaborating, from regulation and prevention, to build safe and responsible environments.”
The action is part of the cooperation agreement signed last October between LOTBA and the Council of the Judiciary. The signed agreement aims to promote cooperation between the parties to implement coordination tasks, technical assistance, and mutual collaboration in the development of joint dissemination and information activities for primary prevention, awareness, and visibility around clandestine gambling, gambling addiction, and responsible gambling.

It also seeks to raise awareness and visibility of the various crimes and infractions surrounding the activity, the violation of regulations related to lotteries, betting, and games allowed or authorized by local laws both physical and online.
