Todos Querem Jogar (TQJ) takes an important step to start sports betting and online gaming operations in Brazil. The brand from Grupo Sílvio Santos was notified of the initial approval by the Ministry of Finance, only needing to pay the grant and present the final documents. After partnering with OpenBet, the company had already hired the experienced Waldir Eustáquio Marques Jr. to lead the area of government relations.

Grupo Sílvio Santos submitted its license application to operate sports betting and online games to the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) within the deadline set by the government and with the advancement of the regulatory process, it established a partnership with OpenBet, one of the most renowned iGaming providers in the world, to use its platform.

After the capital integration of R$ 40 million, the founder of TQJ, Marc Thomas Crean, and the presenter Patrícia Abravanel (heir of presenter Sílvio Santos) joined the company's administrative board.

The Group took a big step and made the “right choice” by appointing the experienced Brazilian professional in gaming and lotteries, Waldir Eustáquio Marques Jr. as its director of government relations. Recognized worldwide for his successful career in the sector, Waldir was the undersecretary of lotteries at the Ministry of Finance and president of Loterias CAIXA. He also leads the regulatory affairs area at WA.Technology.

With this, Waldir Marques acts on two distinct fronts in the regulated gaming market in Brazil, at the forefront of TQJ, in the B2C area, and at WA.Technology, a global company focused on B2B business.

Upon announcing the approval of TQJ's documentation by the SPA, Waldir Marques stated that “the executives at TQJ are extremely happy to be part of a regulated market and follow all Brazilian standards. This is an important step in our commitment to corporate social responsibility, especially with responsible gaming”.

I am immensely grateful to the team at Todos Querem Jogar - TQJ for their hard work and dedication, and I congratulate Marc Crean for his trust and unconditional support. Together, we are ready to make a difference in this new chapter of our growth”, he concluded.
