The initiative aims to raise awareness about the illegality of online casinos in France and alert about their risks.
France.- In order to raise public awareness of the existence of illegal platforms, the National Gaming Authority (ANJ) of France launched an information campaign to warn about the risks of unauthorized online casinos.
Based on a PwC study conducted in 2023, it is estimated that between 3 and 4 million people in France have gambled on illegal betting platforms, with online casinos being the most popular.
The campaign "100% gagnant" (100 percent winner) aims to remind about the illegality of online casinos in France and alert about the associated risks, such as addiction and fraud.
For the campaign's art, they used colorful graphics mimicking the aesthetics of betting sites, to capture attention and redirect users to the informative page www.risques-casino-en-ligne.fr.

It is worth noting that the ANJ has implemented measures to combat these illegal platforms, including the administrative blocking of sites since March 2022, with more than 2,365 URLs blocked to date. Additionally, the authority works in cooperation with judicial authorities and digital partners (such as social networks and payment providers) to limit access and the proliferation of these sites through "mirrors" that replicate the content on new URLs.
