The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has imposed a fine on Alimaniere Sociedad de Responsabilidad for offering unlicensed online gambling services to Dutch players through the website time2spin1.com.
Previously, Alimaniere had conducted an investigation, stating that its original website time2spin.com was blocked in the Netherlands.
In response, Alimaniere established a new platform, time2spin1.com, allowing continued access to its gambling services.
It is noteworthy that the KSA stipulates that all providers offering online games to residents of the Netherlands must hold a valid license to ensure compliance with fair competition regulations and to protect consumers from gambling risks.
The KSA's fine order requires Alimaniere to immediately cease providing these services in the Netherlands. If Alimaniere fails to comply, it faces a fine of 140,000 euros (148,920 USD) per violation, with a maximum of up to 420,000 euros.
Earlier this month, the KSA intervened in cases involving three providers who violated new gambling sponsorship regulations. These new regulations, effective from July 2024, restrict sponsorships of sporting events and prohibit targeting minors and young people.
The investigation found that the three providers involved displayed promotional materials in ways that indirectly contacted minors and other vulnerable audiences.
The National Bank of Saudi Arabia stated that it will continue to closely monitor related activities to uphold regulatory standards in the industry.
