The State Lottery of Paraná (Lottopar) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Paraná State Football Federation (FPF). The signing took place at the FPF headquarters and included participation from Lottopar's Director of Operations, Fabio Veiga; Technical Director, Rafael Halila, and Administrative-Financial Director, Rogerio Nogueira, as well as FPF President, Hélio Cury Filho.
The purpose of this technical cooperation is to develop actions aimed at sports integrity, ensuring safe and responsible gaming in the sports betting environment. The cooperation agreement does not involve financial contributions and the partnership is at no cost to both parties.
Lottopar will promote training, lectures, and other activities aimed at FPF affiliates, the Refereeing Commission, and the general public, with the aim of guiding on codes of conduct, prevention of result manipulation, and the risks associated with illegal betting practices.
The agreement also seeks to strengthen awareness of the consequences of non-compliance with sports regulations and contribute to the safe regulation of the sector, promoting the protection of those involved and the integrity of the competitions.
The Director of Operations at Lottopar, Fabio Veiga, highlights the importance of the initiative as a way to spread the practices of sports integrity and responsible gaming: “We have already had the opportunity to give a lecture to the athletes from the base of Paraná Clube and now we will extend these meetings to the professionals of the FPF and associated clubs”.
“With this work, we seek to strengthen awareness of the consequences of non-compliance with sports regulations and contribute to the safe regulation of the sector, promoting the protection of those involved and the integrity of the competitions,” said.
“Result manipulation is a relevant issue that has always received attention from the Paraná State Football Federation, our role is to provide a fair game free of fraud, and Lottopar comes to add to us in this educational process. This partnership will contribute to making the spectacle increasingly free of stains,” stated the Technical Director, Hélio Cury Filho.
Future referees
The cooperation agreement provides for training in the same model already administered by Lottopar in October of this year to the State Commission of Football Referees of Paraná, from the FPF, which gathered students from the refereeing school who will participate in future football sports competitions.
