Betano, one of the leading betting brands in the world, is inviting fans to participate in 'Juntas em Campo', a Corporate Social Responsibility program focused on gender equity. The campaign will start with a special action focused on Pink October. The kickoff is this Saturday (26) at Arena MRV, where Atlético, sponsored by the company, hosts Internacional.
In partnership with Brasileirão Betano and the NGO Cabelegria, which seeks to restore the self-esteem of women undergoing breast cancer treatment, Betano will provide a truck to receive hair donations and donate wigs, while health professionals will provide information to raise awareness about the importance of disease prevention.
The activities will take place at the Esplanada of Arena MRV on October 26, before the match between Atlético and Internacional. At the same location, women will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of breast cancer prevention, self-awareness, and self-care, learning through a breast prototype how to perform self-examination.
Two hours before the start of the Brasileirão Betano match, starting at 5 pm, fans passing through the esplanade will find the NGO's truck, which brings samples of wigs made with natural hair donated to the organization. Women undergoing cancer treatment who register in advance by email contato@cabelegria.org, until 10/25, at 12 pm, will be able to test the wigs and take them for free on site.
Fans wishing to donate their hair should bring it already cut. The strands may contain chemical products, but must be longer than 15 cm. It is important that the donor washes the hair and lets it dry naturally, then makes a ponytail with an elastic band and cuts it, and finally, places the hair in a plastic bag. Once done, everything is ready to be delivered!
Continuing its actions, the truck will travel to three other points in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo on the following dates and locations:
* October 29: Hospital das Clínicas UFMG;
* October 30: Hospital Américas, Rio de Janeiro;
* October 31: Hospital Santa Marcelina, São Paulo.
In 2024, Cabelegria celebrates 10 years of operation and launched the campaign “October 10x Pinker”, which aims to raise funds for the manufacture of 5,000 wigs. Betano will participate in the campaign by donating resources for the production of 1,000 units.

In Brazil, 73,600 new cases were estimated in 2024, with a risk of 66.54 cases per 100,000 women. It is relatively rare before the age of 35, but above this age, the incidence increases progressively, especially after 50 years. The Ministry of Health states that approximately 17% of cases can be prevented through healthy lifestyle habits.
